The Student Community Service Program (KKN) represents an implementation of the *Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi* (Three Pillars of Higher Education), specifically the aspect of community service. This article reports on the outcomes of the National KKN-PMM (Student Community Service and Community Empowerment) collaboration between Warmadewa University and Universitas Gadjah Mada—conducted during the second period of 2026—in Patuk and Bunder Villages, Patuk District, Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The activities took place over six weeks, from June 20 to August 9, 2026, under the theme "Optimizing Smart Villages to Foster Community Self-Reliance through Global Innovation." The implementation methodology encompassed observation, interviews, program formulation, activity execution, and monitoring and evaluation. Work programs were categorized into thematic and non-thematic initiatives, covering the sectors of the economy, education, digital literacy, the environment, health, and livestock farming. The results demonstrated improvements in community understanding and skills regarding MSME financial management, digital marketing, plastic waste utilization, children's literacy, digital legal awareness, and the capacity building of livestock groups. This cross-institutional and interdisciplinary collaboration proved to be a catalyst for the transfer of knowledge and appropriate technology, thereby fostering self-reliance within the village communities.
